My daughter now points at the page with the little hiking trail and asks to go find one herself, which is exactly what I hoped this would do. The hand-drawn outdoor scenes are colorful without being overwhelming, and the sturdy pages have survived a few enthusiastic toddler grabs already.

The illustrations actually match real places we’ve camped and hiked, which makes my kids shout out memories before I even turn the page. Each letter’s activity feels doable, not just pretty to look at, and it’s already sparked three weekend plans we hadn’t tried yet.

My three-year-old asks for this book every single night, and I don't mind one bit because the illustrations are so charming and each adventure sparks a new question about the outdoors. It's the first time a book has actually made us want to go outside and try something new right after reading it.
