Wondering if Athletic Brewing Co. bamboo coasters actually absorb moisture? We answer the absorbency question, plus care tips and how they fit into your non-alcoholic beer setup.
Quick Answer
Yes, bamboo coasters absorb condensation to a degree, but they're not as thirsty as fabric or stone. The Athletic Brewing Co. Bamboo Coasters Set of 4 is a stylish, eco-friendly choice for protecting surfaces while you enjoy your favorite non-alcoholic brew.
Bamboo vs. Other Coaster Materials
Bamboo is a natural, porous material, so it can soak up small amounts of moisture from a cold can or bottle. However, it won't absorb as much as a ceramic or stone coaster, which are more absorbent but heavier and less portable.
If you're hosting a gathering, bamboo coasters offer a balance of style and function. They're lightweight, easy to store, and add a warm, natural look to your table. Just be aware that prolonged contact with water can leave marks or warp the bamboo over time.
Bamboo Coaster FAQ
- Are bamboo coasters absorbent?
- Yes, bamboo absorbs moisture from condensation, but it's not as absorbent as fabric or stone. Use them for standard beer nights—they'll handle drips and rings well, but wipe up any puddles promptly. For heavy condensation, consider a coaster with a cork or stone base underneath.
- How do I clean bamboo coasters?
- Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately. Avoid soaking or putting them in the dishwasher, as water can damage bamboo. Dry them fully before storing in the canvas pouch to prevent mold or warping.
- Are bamboo coasters worth it for non-alcoholic beer?
- Absolutely. They're a practical, eco-friendly accessory that protects your furniture while you enjoy your favorite Athletic brews. The 4-pack is ideal for small gatherings or solo sipping. Pair them with other Athletic Brewing Co. merchandise for a cohesive bar setup.
